You’re standing there in your dressing gown with a coffee in your hand when you open it and see a parcel sitting on the step.

It’s wrapped like a present. And it’s addressed to you.

I’m a coach, a mum of two, and a woman who’s lived every season of this journey — weight gain, burnout, solo motherhood, and rebuilding from the ground up.

Her life feels possible. And the truth is… that life wasn’t imagined. It was built.

There’s something you should know. The life you just read about in those pages wasn’t imagined.

It was built through seasons I once thought would break me.

My name is Kayla.

And the life you just read about is one I’ve had to build for myself more than once. There wasn’t just one rock bottom in my story. There were many.

After my first baby, I was carrying an extra forty kilos.

I remember looking in the mirror and not recognising the woman looking back at me.

So I did what most women do.

I pushed harder. I trained harder. I controlled everything I ate. Eventually… I lost the weight.

From the outside it looked like I had finally figured everything out.

But life has a way of humbling you when you think you’ve got control. I went through a divorce and suddenly became a single mum.

At the same time I was running a hair salon, managing staff, trying to build a personal training career, and holding together every moving part of my life at once.

And slowly, piece by piece, everything started falling apart.The business pressure grew. Staff left.

The weight began creeping back on again.

Then life threw another curveball.

I broke my foot. What was meant to be a short recovery turned into months… and then years of my body not being able to function like it once did..

By the time I had my second baby, I had another forty kilos to lose. But this time everything felt different. I couldn’t just push harder anymore. My body, my mind, and my life were all pulling in different directions.

Postpartum depression and anxiety crept in.

Undiagnosed ADHD only poured fuel on the fire.

I was constantly trying to hold everything together while feeling like I was barely keeping my head above water. Eventually I was diagnosed and medicated for ADHD… but even that wasn’t simple.

The first medication made everything worse without me realising.

My body changed again. My life kept shifting.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I started studying nutrition. I lost over twenty-five kilos again on my own again for the second time now.

I began online coaching. And then decided to get my own coach as I stepped into bodybuilding prep for a competition I had wanted to do for more than ten years.

But life still had one more lesson waiting for me.

Halfway through prep, my son’s father passed away.

Our entire world flipped upside down overnight.

Grief changes everything and life would never be the same again for our family.

I tried to keep pushing forward for a while… but eventually my body forced me to stop.

Ten weeks out from stepping on stage, I had to pull out because my health was collapsing under the pressure

And on that exact same day, one of my clients said something that stopped me in my tracks.

She told me she couldn’t remember a single day of her childhood where her mum wasn’t on a diet.

Something inside me broke open.

Because I realised I had grown up inside that same culture. And without even noticing…

I had been living my own version of it too.

Not dieting in the traditional sense.

But living under constant pressure and extremes.

Living in cycles of pushing my body harder and harder to maintain something that was never sustainable.

So I asked myself a question that changed everything.

Am I building the life I actually want my children to grow up watching?

Because if I didn’t heal my relationship with my body and the way I lived my life… one day they would have to heal from watching me struggle.

That moment changed everything.

For the first time in my adult life, I stopped trying to force my life into someone else’s definition of success.

And I started asking a different question.

What would it actually look like to build a life that supports the woman I want to become?

Not a life built on pressure. Not a life built on extremes.

But a life where movement, food, habits and knowledge actually worked together instead of constantly fighting each other.

That question became the beginning of everything that is now MKHF — Becoming Her.

Because the truth is…

Weight loss isn’t the real transformation.

Becoming the woman who lives in a way that supports the life she wants is.

And when that shift happens…

The body changes. The confidence grows. The energy returns. But the most powerful part is something deeper.

You realise you’re no longer chasing the woman you wish you could be.

You’re simply living as her.

And that’s the journey I now walk alongside other women inside MKHF.

Because I didn’t just study this work.

I had to live it!

Over and over again…

until I finally broke the loop and BECAME HER

Your body responds to what you do consistently.

And the life you want is built by the woman you become.

Every habit you build.

Every promise you keep.

Every small deposit you make.

They all compound.

Until one day you realise…

you’re not chasing her anymore.

You’ve become her.

My Story...

I started my fitness journey after having my first baby.

I’d gained a lot of weight during pregnancy and felt completely disconnected from my body.Uncomfortable. Exhausted. Stuck. I knew something had to change.

At first, it was just a few gym sessions here and there. But the more I moved, the more I noticed the shift — not just physically, but mentally too.I started showing up daily. I built momentum. I saw real change. But it wasn’t a straight line.

There were setbacks.Injuries.Postpartum anxiety. Chronic pain. Hormone chaos .Moments I felt like I’d failed… again.

And through all of it, I learned something powerful:

You don’t need another extreme plan. You need a system that sees your whole life. One that supports your nervous system. Honors your capacity. And actually works.

That’s what I’ve built — through my own healing, study, and lived experience.And now, it’s what I help other women do through The Seasonal Shift™ and MKHF Coaching.
